India Energy Storage Week showcases latest energy storage technologies as India rises to the net zero challenge

The International Energy Agency’s India Energy Outlook 2021 report predicts that India will make up the biggest share of energy demand growth at 25% over the next two decades, as it overtakes the European Union as the world’s third largest energy consumer by 2030.

At a global level, energy storage can help curb climate change and optimised energy storage systems ensure grid stability and on-demand availability.  India’s future prosperity will also hinge on affordable, clean and reliable energy.

Following on from Mercom 2023, the IESW 2023 conference in Delhi was devoted to stationary energy storage. Paul Smith, VP Europe Sales Energy Dome took part in a panel discussing the ‘Need for Long-Duration Energy Storage in India’. Energy Dome provide groundbreaking long duration storage.  The panel also included:  William Tope, Founder, LiNa Energy;  LiNa offers low-cost sodium battery technology and Avishek Kumar, Co-Founder and CEO at VFlowTech; VFlowTech provides innovative energy storage solutions.

Puranik & Fraser International will be attending the India Energy Leadership Summit in Dehli in June 2023 as India drives to the net zero challenge steps up.
