Hugh Fraser International September/October Newsletter
I am pleased to provide our latest update for HFI’s clients and connections, as we head towards ADIPEC 2022 in Abu Dhabi at the end of October.
The summer months have seen a raft of important multi-US$ billion energy transition project announcements in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar and Oman involving LNG, solar, hydrogen and carbon capture and storage. The EIC (Energy Industries Council) continues to track what is now a US$600 billion energy market in the GCC through its Datastream service, featuring both conventional petroleum/power projects and renewables/energy transition contracts.
That US$600 billion market is dominated by investment from Saudi Aramco, ADNOC Group and QatarEnergy and our client initiatives: SAVI - Saudi Arabia Ventures Initiative, ADVI - Abu Dhabi Ventures Initiative and QATVI - Qatar Ventures Initiative – are focussed on supporting ventures in these key territories.
Our Bridgehead Corporate & Compliance Solutions is focused on the DMCC (Dubai Multi Commodities Centre) free zone in Dubai supports ventures with a more region-wide dimension and continues to go from strength to strength.
We remain fully committed to supporting advanced energy technology providers to succeed in the region and to stay fully focussed on new technology developments – and participation at WindEurope2022 in Hamburg during 27-30 September, SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition 2022 in Houston during 3-5 October and ADIPEC2022 will be our next ports of call.
As always, please get in touch if we can support your international growth ambitions in the region.
