HFI's Summer 2025 eNewsbook
June has brought significant geopolitical challenges to the Middle East region, some of which I experienced first-hand in Qatar, but the region remains resilient. Across the GCC, the EIC DataStream project database is now tracking 554 energy projects with a total value of almost US$779bn in the period to 2035 underlining the scale of the energy sector opportunities in the Middle East.
This eNewsbook features our Acquisitions & Divestments services, SPARK in Saudi Arabia, our Local Partner Ventures solutions, Ras Al Khair Special Economic Zone in Saudi Arabia, the Make It in The Emirates initiative and forum in Abu Dhabi, an update on Oman on the back of OPES 2025, Yellow Door’s solar solutions, news from Canada in the context of the Global Energy Show, a report from Japan following our participation at the Japan Energy Summit, and an update on the key themes from the recent World Utilities Congress in the UAE.
HFI is keen to play a key role in supporting clients’ business growth opportunities, combining our consulting and legal know-how to deliver results, solutions and value. Our focus is on advanced energy technology ventures in the Middle East region with four core service offerings – acquisitions &divestments; new territory expansion & local partner collaboration ventures; technology licensing & local manufacturing ventures; and restructurings, disputes resolution & managed exits. HFI’s clients are drawn from four technology-driven sectors: petroleum & LNG; power & water (including nuclear, renewables, geothermal and desalination); subsea & marine and energy transition & net zero (including hydrogen and CCS).
