HFI's Autumn 2025 eNewsbook

A warm welcome to HFI’s Autumn 2025 Newsbook. Please click here for the interactive flipbook, and here for the static PDF version.

Across the GCC, the EIC DataStream project database is now tracking 570 energy projects with a total value of almost US$780bn in the period to 2035 underlining the scale of the energy sector opportunities in the Middle East.

The Autumn for HFI kicked off with SPE Offshore Europe 2025 in Aberdeen in September. It was great to take part and be represented on the Global Underwater Hub stand. Despite the ongoing decline in oil and gas production in the UK, SPE Offshore Europe 2025 has proven to be a forward-looking event.

As well as SPE Offshore Europe, this Newsbook features Euro Mechanical’s acquisition of Wellube’s Middle East business from Unique Group - a transaction that strengthens Euro Mechanical’s leadership in the UAE and marks its expansion into Qatar (subject to regulatory approval). HFI was proud that we advised Euro Mechanical and to support transformative energy deals that drive growth and innovation across the Middle East.

Qatar features in this Newsbook - Doing Ventures in Qatar. Qatar is one of the most strategically important global energy markets through to 2030 and beyond. Qatar’s energy sector is expected to maintain its global leadership in LNG while advancing its renewable energy agenda and pursuing economic diversification.

As well as supporting Euro Mechanical, HFI has very much appreciated to act on various acquisitions, divestments and exits over the last 12 months. Acquisitions in the Middle East have their own processes, trends and nuances which need to be understood and tackled. We are pleased to feature our Acquisitions & Divestments services guidebook in this Newsbook.

On the horizon is the largest energy event in the HFI calendar - ADIPEC 2025, 3 – 6 November in Abu Dhabi. HFI will be present for the whole of ADIPEC 2025 week and we are looking forward to catching up with clients and connections there.

HFI is keen to play a key role in supporting clients’ business growth opportunities, combining our consulting and legal know-how to deliver results, solutions and value. Our focus is on advanced energy technology ventures in the Middle East region. I hope the features in our Autumn Newsbook will be of interest, and please contact Sally Reeves, HFI’s Client Relations Manager, to arrange a call if we can be of support in your MENA business ventures.
