HFI attends Saudi Maritime & Logistics Congress
HFI was delighted to attend the Saudi Maritime & Logistics Congress in Dammam represented by Hugh Fraser and Sally Reeves – a key regional event spotlighting the future of maritime infrastructure, logistics, and energy integration in the Kingdom.
Day one concluded with a valuable KSA Energy Market Outlook & Networking Evening, hosted by the Energy Industries Council (EIC) in collaboration with the Asharqia Chamber - غرفة الشرقية. Ryan McPherson delivered a comprehensive update on the Kingdom’s energy landscape, highlighting 217 major projects across upstream, downstream, renewables, hydrogen, and carbon capture—representing US$247 billion in opportunities to 2035.
On day two, it was a pleasure to attend a panel on the formation of a Saudi Maritime Law Association, moderated by Bader AlMutairi, FCIArb, Founding Partner at AlSuwaiket and AlBusaiyes Co. and part of HFI’s legal alliance network. The Gulf’s maritime sector is expanding rapidly, and a robust legal framework will be key to its continued growth.
It was a pleasure connecting with industry peers including:
Adrian Phillips, Member Engagement Director with International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) and to discuss his work with IMCA and IMCA's plan for ADIPEC Exhibition and Conference 2025.
Colin J. Wallace, Project Director at Scorpion Arabia. Founded in 2018, Scorpion Arabia for Contracting Services was developed in order to meet the growing needs for trenchless technology and pipeline service demands in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other GCC counties.
Chrysovalantis Mikrommatis, VP of Sales Enablement at Yellow Door Energy. Yellow Door Energy is the leading sustainable energy partner for businesses, serving commercial and industrial customers in the Middle East and Africa.
David Eustace, Regional Manager at Navitrans SA. Navitrans is a leading international logistics group, focused on African markets with a presence in more than 20 countries.
Next stop in KSA is the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) Middle East 2025 Conference & Exhibition on 14–15 October.
