Gravitate North East Aims To Use Community Asset Transfer Scheme For Outdoor Activity Project

Garron Point Community Ventures is supporting the Gravitate North East project which aims to make a 45km area of Durris forest in Aberdeenshire into a high quality, high adventure outdoor activity centre.

Proposals include mountain bike trails, a chairlift, ziplines and climbing areas. The area is currently owned by Forestry and Land Scotland and Gravitate North East plans to use the Community Asset Transfer Scheme to make its ambitious vision into a reality.
The project could bring more than £2.5 million to the local economy each year.
